2025 Christmas Opening Hours
To help you plan ahead over the Christmas and New Year period, we’ve outlined our adjusted operating hours for each Wanless site below. Some locations will operate with reduced staffing or temporary service pauses, while scheduled waste services will continue as normal unless otherwise noted.
🎄 Christmas & New Year Operating Hours
Wanless – Smithfield
- Closed public holidays only: 25–26 December & 1 January
- Reduced staffing: 7:00am–3:00pm on non-holiday days
- Service pause: Midday, 24 December
- Full operations resume: Monday, 5 January
Wanless Recycling Park – Sydney
- All sites closed from 12 Noon, Wednesday 24 December
- Full operations resume: Monday, 5 January at 7:00am
Heatherbrae (Newcastle)
- Closed public holidays only: 25–26 December & 1 January
- Open and contactable during normal operating hours on all other days
Brisbane North
- Service pause: Midday, 24 December
- Closed on public holidays
- Reduced staffing: 7:00am–4:00pm
- Full operations resume: Monday, 5 January
Oxley (QLD) – WWM Office
- Service pause: Midday, 24 December
- Office closed on public holidays
- Office hours (non-holidays): 7:00am–4:00pm
4G Metals
- All sites closed from 12:00pm, Tuesday 23 December
- Reopening Monday, 5 January
