We’ve hung up our sparkle garbage pants for another year! After an incredible celebration that lit up Sydney’s streets, it was time to clean up—and Wanless was there to help keep the city shining. The Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras parade is no small affair, with 191 dazzling floats sashaying down Oxford St and over 12,500 enthusiastic participants. That’s a whole lot of confetti, glitter, and streamers to manage once the music fades and the crowds disperse.
For a front-row seat to *the* party of the year, it’s totally worth it! Sydney’s Mardi Gras is a spectacle of joy, pride, and creativity, attracting thousands of locals and tourists alike. The energy on the streets is unmatched, and while everyone’s focused on having the time of their lives, there’s still an immense amount of clean-up work that needs to be done behind the scenes.
Luckily, Wanless Waste Management is always up for the challenge. As soon as the last float shimmied down Oxford St, our team got to work, helping to restore Sydney’s streets to their pristine state. From all that glitter to leftover party props, it takes some serious effort to keep the streets clean after such a grand event.
We’re pretty proud of being part of something so iconic, even if it means cleaning up after the confetti storm. It’s not just about waste management; it’s about supporting what matters – helping our communities celebrate safely and sustainably. After all, keeping the city beautiful is just as important as enjoying the show!
So, whether you’re part of the parade or watching from the sidelines, rest assured that the clean-up crew has it all under control. We’ve loved playing our part in making sure Sydney sparkles just as much after the party as it does during it. 🌈💪 #whatmatters #SydneyMardiGras #wastemanagement #cleanupcrew
