Wanless expands to two new Sydney-based resource and recovery locations

Wanless Waste Management’s NSW business has activated two new resource recovery centres in the Sydney region. The first, just south of the CBD at Botany, is a stone’s throw to Sydney Domestic Terminal; the other is in Smithfield, at the centre of the western industrial precinct, bordered by Wetherill Park, Erskine Park and Huntingwood.

“The Botany facility is an incredibly important one,” says Dean Wanless, CEO of Wanless Waste Management. “CBD-centric businesses aren’t always well-serviced and often struggle to get adequate recycling infrastructure. This is a long-term investment, and has been on the cards at Wanless for quite some time. It’s really exciting to see it come to fruition.”

Similarly, Wanless’s new Smithfield location also answers a need for effective waste management solutions in Sydney’s west.

“The Smithfield transfer puts Wanless at the wheel of the Western Sydney industrial and commercial engine room,” says Dean, “offering efficient service in the manufacturing heartland of Sydney.” The two new resource and recovery locations in Sydney are a natural and timely extension of Wanless’s ongoing commitment to creating a sustainable future.
