Wanless’ Sydney Recycling Park at Kemps Creek has ramped up its mattress recycling efforts with the recent addition of the Eggersmann Z60 slow-speed universal shredder, supplied by SKALA Environmental. This heavy-duty machine is currently processing up to 100 mattresses per hour, with an ambitious target of diverting more than 250,000 mattresses from landfill by the end of 2025.
“With these diverse recycling solutions, we’re on track to exceed our goal of diverting 90 per cent of incoming waste material from landfill,” says Stefan Car, yard manager for 4G Metals, which operates at Sydney Recycling Park in Kemps Creek.
This, together with Wanless’ ongoing investment in world-class recycling infrastructure, reflects the company’s ongoing commitment to innovation in resource recovery and sustainable waste solutions across Greater Sydney and beyond.
