Solvent disposal
Solvents are chemicals that dissolve other substances. They are used to thin paint, clean paint brushes, clean machinery, remove grease stains and strip paint. Many solvents are poisonous when swallowed or absorbed through the skin and lungs and most are flammable.
When solvents are disposed of improperly – in the garbage, on the ground or down the drain – the hazardous chemicals may contaminate lakes, rivers, streams and groundwater. Many chemicals found in landfills may contaminate the underground water table, however, solvents are a primary concern.
Wanless Waste Management aims to recover and reuse the maximum amount of solvents possible, ensuring minimal impact on the environment. Using our large fleet of specialist collection vehicles, we provide a fully EPA-licensed solvent collection and recycling service, helping close the loop on solvent waste and keeping solvents out of landfill.

We’re more than waste management
A staggering 9 million tonnes of plastic ends up in the world’s oceans each year, and land-based waste is the greatest polluter. This ocean debris affects about 700 marine species, some of which are now endangered.
To help turn the tide on plastic pollution, Wanless eco(logical) is investing in Australia’s oceans.
